1. Where do I download the TankSpotter mobile application?

TankSpotter Safety app is available on both Android and iOS.

2. What is my username and password on the TankSpotter web portal?

Your username and password are the same for the web application and smartphone app. Log in at www.tankspotter.com and click Login at the top-right.

3. How do I add new users to the TankSpotter website?

Company Admin and Manager roles can add users in the web app:

Users > Manage Team > Add User

Choose role, complete user info, and click Add User. The new user receives an email with download links and login credentials.

4. Where do I access the TankSpotter Web Application?

Go to www.tankspotter.com and click Login on the upper-right.

5. How do I change my TankSpotter account password?
  1. Log in to the web app.
  2. Hover over your name and click Profile.
  3. Update your password and click Update User.
6. I forgot my password. What should I do?

Go to www.tankspotter.com, click Login, then click Forgot Password. You will receive a reset link by email.

7. What is the difference between Save and Send vs Send as Email?

Save and Send saves the form to your phone and sends it to the office.

Send as Email emails the form to your manager, and also saves/sends a copy to the office.

8. Where does feedback go after it is entered in the TankSpotter mobile app?

In the web app, go to Customer's Rating > List Rating.

9. Where can I watch the training videos?

Training videos are available in both app and web dashboard under TRAINING/COLLATERAL > TANKSPOTTER TRAINING.

10. How do I schedule a job Estimate or Invoice?

You can schedule using web app or mobile app.

  • Web: Calendar (left pane), click date, complete form, Save.
  • Mobile: Estimator > Calendar > date, choose Estimate, complete form, Create Job.
11. Can I assign a job for Sales Lead, Safety Issue, or Maintenance?

Yes, on both web and mobile.

  • Web: Calendar, choose date, complete form, Save.
  • Mobile: Calendar, tap date, choose Leads, complete form, Create Job.
12. Can I use a tablet on Wi-Fi?

TankSpotter recommends Android or iOS smartphones with their own phone number and direct cellular connectivity. Wi-Fi-only tablet usage is not recommended due to GPS and navigation reliability limitations.

13. How do I get a report of all Sales Leads?
  1. Log in to the web app.
  2. Go to Tank Finder > Tank Sales Leads / Uploaded Sales Leads.
  3. Click Export Excel.
  4. Choose save location and click Save.
14. Can I import my existing Parts list into the web application?

Yes. In web app, click your name > Company Settings > Import Parts Excel > Choose File > Import.

Use Download Sample to follow the required parts format.

15. Can I import my Customers list into the web application?

Yes. In web app, click your name > Company Settings > Import Customers Excel > Choose File > Import.

Use Download Sample to follow the required template format.

16. Where can I manage my customers' accounts?
  1. Log in and click Users (left pane).
  2. Click Customers.
  3. Add new customers or View/Edit/Delete existing records.
17. Where can I see and update my Parts list?
  1. Log in to the web application.
  2. Click Invoicer from left pane.
  3. Click Parts to view and edit.
18. I have trouble receiving email from TankSpotter iOS app. What should I do?

Open Apple Mail and ensure it is active/configured. Re-enter app password if needed so iOS can authenticate and send mail correctly.

19. Can I add, edit, or delete taxes, discounts, and fees in the web app?

Yes.

  1. Go to Settings.
  2. Select Taxes, Discounts, or Fees.
  3. Use Edit/New/Delete options.
20. Where do I change my company information?
  1. Go to Settings.
  2. Click Account Settings.
  3. Edit company name, phone, and address, then click Save.
