Digital Software Services Inc. was founded with a simple mission: make propane companies safer, more efficient, and better documented. Over 25 years, we've built TankSpotter from the ground up with direct input from propane company owners, operations managers, and service technicians.
We're a veteran-owned business based in Pottstown, Pennsylvania. Our team understands the unique challenges of the propane industry — from NFPA compliance to field operations in areas without cell service. Every feature we build solves a real problem that propane companies face every day.
Today, TankSpotter includes 65+ modules, is recommended by insurance professionals at national insurance carriers, and has won the World Propane Safety Technology Competition, hosted by the World LP Gas Association. He Dispatched Assets in a War Zone. Now He Dispatches Yours.
Bill Stomp is a combat veteran and former U.S. Navy Lieutenant Commander who served on an Admiral's staff, managing the data of every asset in the war area so work could be dispatched directly to them and data and intel could come directly back. That meant working in concert with allied forces and every electronic warfare, satellite, visual, and intel asset available — fusing all of it together into one picture. Knowing who to deliver to, what to deliver, and what the delivery requirements were. Bill taught that discipline to the officer corps decades ago.
Running a propane company is almost the same problem. You need to know where your customers are, where your tanks are, where your drivers and service techs are — and you need to get the right job to the right person with the right requirements attached. Paperlessly, wirelessly, instantly. That is what TankSpotter does, and it is the reason it was built the way it was built.
Since then, Bill has run 87 branch offices of propane companies across 12 states and helped over 200 propane delivery companies improve their operations — increasing profits, reducing costs, and improving safety, sales, and training.
