Can Apple and Android Crews Use the Same Propane Field App?

Yes. Tank Spotter runs natively on Apple and Android smartphones and tablets. Still, test the exact phones your crew carries before you roll it out.

Bring the devices your crew already uses

Make a short list of the phones and tablets in your trucks. Include an older phone if someone plans to keep it. Ask the product team which operating-system versions they support. The public page names the device types. It does not list every model.

Try the field steps on each device

Tank Spotter says photos, GPS capture and signatures run offline. Have a field employee try each step on the phone they would really carry. Check how easy the photo and the signature are to use. Write down any setup steps your staff will need.

Check that it reaches the office

Records sync automatically when the phone gets a connection back. Office dispatch alerts and live status pick up from there. Let one person enter a sample job. Let an office employee find it. Then repeat on the other device type. Saving a job on the phone is not the same as seeing it in the office. Check both.

Questions and answers

Does the public page list every supported phone?

What is a good first test?

Pick a phone model that several of your people already use. One person enters the sample job. Another finds it at the office.
