Can One Customer Account Cover Several Propane Tanks?

Tank Spotter lists customer locations and customer assets/tanks. Test your hardest multi-tank customer in the demo. Then you can see how the office tells one tank from another.

Start with a customer who is easy to mix up

Use an anonymized example with two service locations and more than one tank at one of them. Write one short description for each tank. Hand an office employee only those notes. Ask them to find the right record.

This is a suggested test. No tank numbering scheme is required. The question is simple. Can your team always tell the tanks apart?

Look at the history as well as the tank

The account list includes customer form history and Parent/Child customers. Ask how these apply to a customer with several properties. Ask which account layout fits your billing.

Have the presenter pull up one form for one tank. Then ask what an employee sees when they open the other location. Check the links and filters. Do not assume every old form is tied to a tank.

Put an address change in the test

Keep the tank's identity separate from the customer's mailing address. That is our suggestion. Ask how to update account details and keep the earlier work in view.

Questions and answers

Can we bring our spreadsheet?

Bring a copy with customer details removed to explain the links you need. Ask separately about data entry, import and who checks the result. This page promises no bulk import.

What would make the test fail?

A form that could be mistaken for another tank's work. Fix the labels and the account layout before rollout. Run the test again.

Next step

Choose the one customer your office finds hardest to keep straight. Then book a demo and walk that account through. You will know if the tanks stay clear before you move anyone over.
