Can Propane and Heating Oil Crews Use the Same Field App?
Can Propane and Heating Oil Crews Use the Same Field App?
Yes. Tank Spotter says it serves propane and heating oil companies. Its equipment list includes Oil Tank Inspection. A mixed-fuel company can test both kinds of field work in one product.

Test one job from each side of the business
Pick one propane job and one heating oil job. Ask the people who do them to name the forms, equipment details and office follow-up each job needs.
Keep the two examples apart during the test. A form that works for one fuel still needs a review for the other crew's task.
Look past the general oil form
The equipment list also has Routine Oil Tank Inspection and First Fill Oil Inspection. Compare them with your routine-visit and first-fill paperwork. Ask which fields would need to change.
The training list has Fuel/Lubes training. Have your training lead check it against what your oil employees really do. A catalog label is not a sign-off for working alone.
Keep the office step in the test
Ask each crew what the office must do after the job. Then have an office employee find the sample record without being told which form was used. If they struggle, fix your labels and staff instructions. Confirm the forms, reports and account setup with the product team before rollout.
Questions and answers
Does "one app" mean the same steps for both fuels?
No. Your safety lead approves the procedure for each job. This page is a product-fit check. It gives no fuel-specific inspection steps.
Which sample should we bring first?
Bring the oil form your staff finds hardest to route to the office. Pair it with a propane form so the demo covers both sides.

Next step
Pick the oil form that gives your office the most trouble. Then book a demo with that form and one propane form. You will see both crews' work side by side.
