How Can You Track Propane Tank Pickups and Moves?
Tank Spotter lists Tank Movement / Pickup and Tank Asset Tracking. To test it, trace one tank from the customer site back to the yard. Check how its identity and its move would be recorded.

Follow the tank, not just the address
Pick a tank that has been moved before. Use an anonymized asset ID. Make the pickup spot, the destination and the responsible employee part of the record.
Ask the presenter where each detail goes. Ask how the tank is identified. Do not assume the app uses your serial-number format or can load your asset list.
Look at both ends of the pickup
The equipment list also has ASME DOT Container Pickup. The customer list has customer assets/tanks. Compare them with your dispatcher's pickup request and your yard worker's receiving note.
You want a clear move history. Ask how to tell three events apart: a pickup requested, a tank actually collected, and a tank received at the yard.
Add an exception to the test
Try a pickup where the crew finds a different tank than expected. Ask where that mismatch and a note would be recorded. Keep the original request on file while the office sorts it out.
Questions and answers
Does the catalog promise barcode scanning?
No. The pages name pickup and asset tools only. If you need barcode, QR or serial search, ask about it directly before you plan the rollout.
What is a good acceptance check?
Ask someone who did not arrange the move to say which tank was collected and where it went. If they have to guess, fix the record layout and try again.

Next step
Pick one tank your yard moved this season. Then book a demo and trace it from the customer site to your yard. You will see if the trail holds up when someone else reads it.
